Visa for Exhibitors
Visa policy of Iran
Visitors to Iran must obtain a visa from one of the Iranian diplomatic missions of their country unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries or countries eligible for visa on arrival. All visitors must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months.
Israeli citizens are totally banned from entry to Iran.
Citizens of the following 8 countries can visit Iran without a visa:
Azerbaijan (30 days)/ Bolivia (30 days)/Georgia (45 days)/Malaysia (15 days)/Sri Lanka (1 month)/Syria (90 days)/ Turkey (3 months)/ Venezuela (15 days)
According to some news reports, Iran lifted visa requirements for citizens of Egypt and Lebanon in July 2015
Visa on Arrival
Holders of normal passports traveling as tourist can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 3 days (extendable for another 15 days), at the following airports:
- Konarak Airport (Chah-Bahar)
- Isfahan International Airport (Isfahan)
- Kish International Airport (Kish Island)
- Mashhad International Airport (Mashad)
- Dayrestan Airport (Qeshm Island)
- Shiraz International Airport (Shiraz)
- Tabriz International Airport (Tabriz)
- Imam Khomeini International Airport and Mehrabad International Airport (Tehran)
The visa on arrival is issued free of charge for citizens of Lebanon.
The visa on arrival is not applicable to nationals of (These nationalities are required to apply for an Iranian visa at an Iranian embassy/consulate prior to their arrival in Iran.):
Afghanistan/Bangladesh/ Canada/Colombia/ India/Iraq/Jordan/Pakistan/Somalia/United Kingdom/United States
Women Attire
Admission is refused to women not wearing Islamic head cover, scarf, long sleeves or stockings.
Government Guides
British, Canadian and American citizens are required to be escorted by a government approved guide at all times. Independent travel for these citizens has been banned due to the closure of Iranian foreign missions in these countries.
Israel
Admission is refused to holders of passports or travel documents containing a visa/stamp for Israel or any data that passenger has been to Israel or indication of any connection with the State of Israel.
